Job Summary: Assist in overseeing banquet staff and coordinating banquet functions. Ensure quality, guest satisfaction and service standards are upheld. Lead and train banquet staff and provide direction during events.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:
1. Ensure banquet rooms, restaurants and events are ready for service
2. Assist with dining area and buffet line set up as needed
3. Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver prior to use.
4. Ensure the timing and flow of service is correctly paced
5. Communicates with wait staff, cooks and manager about guest needs, business levels as needed.
6. Keep the chefs and managers informed of any issues that might affect quality of service or timing.
7. Serve guest at buffet line standard portion size, with guest requests taken into consideration
8. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction
9. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
10. Bus tables, carry plates, glasses to bus station or dish station
11. Assist with breakdown of event
12. Exhibit strong menu, beverage, and wine knowledge.
13. Adhere to all state liquor laws and state health regulations
14. Perform all duties of Banquet Server

3. Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
4. Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards
5. Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time
6. Work well as part of a team.
7. Able to remain patient, calm and composed in a fast paced, high volume demanding environment.
8. Able to multi-task and handle high volume service demands
Education and Experience:
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Two year serving experience
3. One year supervisory experience
4. Must have or be able to obtain a California Food Handlers card.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
